Cruise line Ponant and pearling company Paspaley announced on Wednesday that they are joining forces to build a 30-guest, boutique expedition motor yacht.
Called Paspaley Pearl by Ponant, it is set to start its inaugural Kimberley season in June 2024.
Paspaley executive chair Nicholas Paspaley says: “Sharing the routes that my crew and I pioneered in the 1970s onboard our pearl luggers will provide wonderful opportunities for guests.”
The motor yacht will have seven, 10, 12 and 14-night itineraries along the Kimberley coast and to Raja Ampat and Spice Islands in Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.
Reservations will open in November 2023.
